Windy in the park
Useful session in the park tonight. More pleasant than it could've been given the remnants of hurricane Katia. Thanks and well done to those who made it and to Darren and Elaine for again helping.
Group pictured here learning about the routes taken at Saturday's London City race - click here. This was Britain's largest urban orienteering race with over 1100 participants. Earlier they'd seen Darren's course from yesterday's Lake District Mountain trial - click here.

More Route Gadget
Here's the link to Day 1 of August's Scottish 6 days competition which was on the screen at last week's club night. This competition had well over 3,000 taking part. Take a look in particular at the routes on courses 10 and 16.

Route Gadget
In readiness for the event on 24th September (see here) here's a link to a previous event in Sefton Park. You can take a look at the map and the various courses - White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green and Green. The courses get progressively harder as you move through the colours.

Good turnout despite weather
Thanks to all those who braved the wet and windy conditions tonight at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre. Looking forward to seeing you again next Monday. Bring your friends too.
As promised, look out for links over the next few days to Route Gadget for a previous Sefton Park event - next one is Saturday 24th September (details to follow shortly) - and one of the Scottish races I did last month. There'll also be a link to orienteering map symbols.
